The 2021 The Estates Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of blackberry, blueberry, plum, chocolate, nutmeg, and subtle oak with flavors of black plum, blackberry, blueberry, and fine, well-integrated tannins. Juicy with good acidity and a beautiful flow from entry to finish. Our Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is traditionally a blend of all five Bordeaux varietals, with the final blend crafted to showcase the vintage and the beautiful varietal character of fruit from our Oakville estates in a balanced, yet complex wine.

The Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, full-bodied blend, with thick scents of plum, cassis, vanilla, and spicy hints of ginger and nutmeg. It is shy at first, but some time breathing will reveal elements of graphite, star anise, and cedar. It is made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with the remaining 15% split between the Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot.

Robert Mondavi established his namesake winery in 1966 with a vision to create Napa Valley wines that would stand in the company of the world’s finest. He chose To Kalon Vineyard in the heart of the Napa Valley as the home for Robert Mondavi Winery. This first-growth vineyard, located in Oakville, California, is renowned for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world, as well as for its Sauvignon Blanc grapes, from which Mr. Mondavi crafted his signature wine, FumeBlanc. Mr. Mondavi believed that wines should reflect their origins, that they are the product of the soil, the climate, and the careful stewardship of those precious resources.
